Within the framework of the Project on cooperating to establish M Good88 link in Vietnam (M Good88 link Project), KIST acted as a project partner who has been authorized by KOICA to perform the assigned undertakings following the agreement between both sides. On that basis, KIST established the M Good88 link Secretariat and dispatched experts to Vietnam to assist M Good88 link. Since November 2019, KIST has sent Mr. Won Kil-yeon (Team Leader) and Mr. Sa Seunghoon (Team member) to work at M Good88 link in an attempt to support the M Good88 link Project.
During more than 2 years of working in Vietnam, Mr. Won Kil-yeon and Mr. Sa Seunghoon have successfully completed their assigned tasks, standing side by side with M Good88 link's staff as strategic consultants, and at the same time, dedicated colleagues on the path of developing M Good88 link as the expectation of both Governments. Without their contribution, M Good88 link cannot achieve the following accomplishments: organizing several capacity building programs in Vietnam and Korea, developing consulting report for M Good88 link, consulting and supporting M Good88 link on regular operation, consolidating the HRM system especially recruitment and organizational chart, supporting developing the internal regulations and the special financial system, supporting the equipment procurement procedure and the implementation of joint research projects, and even more.
As representatives of KIST in Vietnam, both experts have proactively supported M Good88 link in implementing the joint research projects with KIST. Additionally, they actively supported M Good88 link to enrich the overseas network, especially with Korean institutes, universities and enterprises, hence, improve the image of M Good88 link in the S&T community and promote potential joint research activities. As the Phase 1 of M Good88 link Project is coming to an end, both experts have supported the Former President – Dr. Kum Dongwha with proposing the Project Concept Paper for Phase 2 to competent authorities so that the Phase 2 can be implemented at the soonest time.
During their working time in Vietnam, Mr. Won Kil-yeon and Mr. Sa Seunghoon have contributed not only to the implementation of M Good88 link Project, but also the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Korea through joint activities such as research activities, capacity building programs as well as lots of industrial forums, workshops and conferences with the participation of the S&T elite from both countries.
At the end of the ceremony, M Good88 link President – Mr. Bui The Duy awarded certificates of recognition to the Korean experts to commemorate their merits and contributions to M Good88 link and Vietnam.
